Reply:Most people here say its a waste of money. BTW, it ain't new. There's been some discussion on here about it. That said, I've never used it, but I have used a quad-mix tungsten from HTP. Now that, is new. Oh, if you look at the chemical composition it is mainly a 1.5% lanthanated tungsten.Last edited by Oscar; 06-05-2014 at 12:01 AM. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:He I looked it up looks like I'm just behind the times as usuall l I tried it doing some lift arc tig and it just kept braking the tip off but that could be due to the fact that I'm crappy at lift arc lol
Reply:I like the E3 a lot. We use them at work and they hold up well with dc welding. At home I use them balled for ac aluminm welding, and they are way better than pure tungsten. I prefer them over 1.5% lanthelated for ac use too.IAMAW Local 330Airco 300 AC/DC HeliwelderAirco Dip-Pak 200 with Profax spool gunPowr-Kraft AC225Everlast PowerArc 200stBuffalo Forge No.21 drill pressSpeedglas 9100xxAirco, Oxweld, Purox, Victor torchesLincoln Ranger 8 |
