Workshop Hero rust removal bath?

I bought some of this stuff to remove rust from some tools.  Other than the cost, does anyone use the stuff to remove rust from small-ish parts of a project they plan to weld up?  I have a bunch of steel that I would like to avoid grinding if possible.  It would be really nice to just soak it in that stuff for a few days.  (I did a search prior to posting and I know that there are various other chemical baths and methods to remove rust.  I am guessing most of which is more effective.)  Just curious if anyone uses this type of product with success.Thanks! Reply:evapo rust. Impressive stuff. I use it on items I want to restore. Items must be put into a bath ( submerged). Like most things that work= expensive
Reply:EvapoRust works.  Electrolytic process works great and is cheap.  Beware of hydrogen embrittlement with springs or hardened pieces.  For the stuff like Evapo Rust and presumably others like it, I would caution you to make sure the object is fully submerged. If you have part of the object submerged, there seems to be an etch line right near the surface where atmospheric oxygen gets at it.
