I've got to get a press for some work on my other half's car. This one is $50 more than the standard H-frame unit, but I'm not sure where the better design is on the A-frame.http://www.harborfreight.com/garage-...ess-37999.htmlWith the H-frame, I could beef it up like the other fellow here did, and yes, paint it red too!PapaLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:The standard H frame is 50 lbs heavier and $50 cheaper. I'd save the $50 bucks. The A frame design might be more rigid is some instances but I've never used one.
Reply:x2 the h-frame. or you could pick up an old car or pickup frame and build you own.225NT bobcatAEAD200LEScott 125mm175, mm252 w 30A, PT225mm211, TA 181iHyper Therm 380, cut master 529100X & XX, Digital Elite6 Victor setssmith little torch, meco midget kalamazoo band sawsteel max saw evoulution circular saw
Reply:Had the decision made for me as they don't have the A-frame version in store yet. I'm going to make the mods that Harleyrider did to his press. But for now, it will get me through what I have to do this weekend on momma's car. Thanks for the input. And you are right ibmprods, I would have built my own, but the need came up kind of sudden. So I'll take this one and make it better with those mods.PapaLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175 |
