Using the code number off the welder (7307) I was able to pull up the operator and maintenace manuals. It show the official name as "SA-200-F163 (type: K-6090-SM). I found the breakdown for determing the year - but I do not understand it. Using the following serial number: A-781761 can someone tell me the correct way to break down the number to determine the year of mfg? The machine has been painted over and I am trying to do some restoration on it, so any help will be appreciated.
Reply:JayRay,Welcome to the forum.Refering to Lincoln Service Notice #9301 Bulhttp://content.lincolnelectric.com/pdfs/knowledge/Age_of_Machine.pdf, your unit was manufactured in 1975. As the serial numbers are sequencial I would say sometime around the month of September/October of that year. The SN listed in the column under the welder type is the first unit of the year in the lefthand Year column.DuaneMM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
