lincoln tig torch

has any body have problems with the tig torch that lincoln put .On the tig 275 or 225  blowing up . This is my second one this year. i have ptw 20
Reply:Define blow up? I have a 225 and had two modular head torches go bad. (the head part). would work great for 10 to 20 hrs. then start to get real bad porosity. Could neve fid any leaks in the lines. Reply:what i mean by blowing up is that it blows up in the return line and hot water sprays everywhere. i have checked and the filters and vents are clean. i am thinking that it is because of the rubber hoses that are on the torch because i have had weld crafts last on my other welders and they never blew and i ran wide open on my machine.
Reply:Yes, I have heard of this problem before. It is most likely a problem with the water cooler. Call Lincoln and they will be able to further assist you. (888)935-3877
Reply:i am looking at an older weldanpower 225 with the generator sticking out the front that looks similar to the pipeliner machines,  first one i have ever seen like this, i actually have one with a flat front on it.  does anybody know if these weld good like the pipeliners??  has either a 16hp briggs or onan on it the owner does not know which. thanks
Reply:It almost sounds like the hose was not cured or the water temp. has made it soft.In that the line is restricted (kinked) if you will , and will not let a flow back to the cooler.The hose will swell and still be bendable but not let anything pass. Try blowing through it and see if you can.
