I made these shelving brackets to shelve the inside of my container.  They hang off of the D-rings so that the special rust resistance of the steel wasn't disturbed.Made from 1.25" by .125 steel tubing.  Tig welded with 200 amps DC on machine and a pedal.  3/32 ER70S2 filler.I included some weld pics as well.

Reply:Thank you Gordon.I have some pics of my crappy hand drawn plans if anyone is interested.  I couldn't find any plans myself on the net for these.    With my design, I believe I got three 14" spaced shelving areas leaving 30" below for large items to sit on the floor.  The bent rod is 5/8".All tubing cut on my Evolution Rage3 and bar bent with oxypropane torch assistance.
Reply:Very clever, nicely done.
Reply:Cool !     Easy install and no bolting required.  I know when I add more shelving it seems like it gets filled and time for another one
Reply:@ Drf255 - excellent design, fabrication/welding, and integration.  Very nice TIG work and overall finish.  Glad you put the Rage'r to the test and sounds like you have her all squared up.  The 'leave no trace' design intent for the hangers is cool.  Allows the ISO container to shape-shift and support future configurations.  Respect gravity and she'll go to bat for you.  Keep grinding bro "Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi
Reply:al, good job on the brackets but the d ring is genius. if you ever want to give up your day job there's a place for you at d.o.c.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla

Reply:Nice job and design. My only concern is that all the weight is on the solid 5/8" rod? The bend could open up and shelves could fall under a heavy load.  Maybe have a slightly longer section that passes through the d ring, I noticed the tight ceiling clearance so that might not be possible.
Reply:Nice work, clean install.  I bet that shipping container comes in handy. Can I ask what you chose for paint?  I've got a similar project that needs paint.  I read a recommendation here to get it sandblasted, epoxy primer, rustoleum urethane mastic.  Got a quote, $500+ done, including $200+ in paint itself.  Project's steel bill was $133.  I'm looking for a practical solution.
Reply:Great job, Al. Certainly helps to get all that stock off of the floor.  Also nice that you don't need to clutter up the garage a whole lot.  Me, I am a pack rat.  I would have that container filled up with so much stuff you wouldn't be able to move around in it, but with the addition of the shelves, organization would rule.

Reply:That is a very clever way to organize your container.  Our container is just piled full of junk and is a mess..  Do you have trouble with condensation in your container.  Here in Alabama we get a lot of the condensation in our units.  Thanks and congrats.

Reply:Awesome work.  I think I will build some for my container.  I was thinking of welding studs to inside of the container so I could bolt on some plywood.  Your idea is much better."G"ConductorX - The Volkswright Shophttp://volkswright.blogspot.com/http://bugwerks.blogspot.com/Miller DVI w/Spoolgun - Miller Plasma Cutter
