I recently bought a Miller Dialarc AC/DC welder that's about 30 years old. The connector on the welding cables has a 1.25" long x .375" diameter stem that's supposed to fit in the welder's receivers on the front. Somehow I'm not doing it right because I can't push the stem all the way in. About .375" still sticks out. Can someone let me know if this is how it's supposed to be?
Reply:That's the way they are. Give them a twist and they'll seat quicker and deeper.
