We use Cool-Arc 40 water coolers on our Precision TIG 225's at work. The blue (cold) water lines on them continually split and crack, and we're spending way too much time patching them up. It's about an hour of down time each time one leaks.Does anyone know of a bolt-on replacement water line that is better (maybe vinyl, instead of that cheap crappy elastic band rubber they use on the stock hose) ?Getting a line itself isn't the problem. We found lots of extra thick vinyl line that we use for something on our punch press, and it fits perfectly over the nipple inside the torch. We WOULD run them all the way from torch>cooler except at the cooler end, it goes into a brass fitting that it looks to be machine-fit into. So right now we're just cutting the old line where the leak is, and using a hose connector (little plastic barbed cylinders) that we're pushing the new line and old line onto, to connect them. So from the cooler end up to the connector, we're still running the old (original) line - and this is ALWAYS where the leaks are.If anyone knows of a hose with fitting that will bolt directly onto the cooler at one end, and will fit over about a 3/16" nipple on the other (torch) end, please let me know!! About 10-12' of line would be good."A winner isn't someone who doesn't lose, a winner is someone who doesn't quit." |
