new to me hobart stickmate

I found one hell of a Craigslist score. Got it for around 100 bucks with extras like welding rods and two helmets. added some tweco 2mpc plugs on it to replace the tired leads and so i can use my leads for both the ideal arc and the stick mate.best part is it is still made in the USA also needless to say i won't be needing to buy any kinds of welding rods for quite some time.also anyone got pictures of the carts they have made for theirs? Reply:Not quite sure why you need that with the idealarc 250, but at that price you really couldn't go wrong. Reply:Your Idealarc has much more umpff and a much higher duty cycle than the stickmate does. Reply:Ricks got it I wanted it to hirt in the yard. The 180 is old and ac. I've pushed the ideal arc in the yard it sucks for it. I saw this and I figured what the hell. It's worth it just for the rods. Plus it doesn't pull 23 amps just sitting there on. Reply:Yeah, mine always sounds pretty mad, I think thats just the way they are.But it sounds a lot madder when one of the screws vibrates loose and the cover rattles, you might wanna check and just make sure they are all tight. Reply:yea the cart for it and whatever projects come up. nice little welder but I can feel the different in power to the ideal arc still a keeper tho and at that price how could i go wrong?
