Stolen welding rig

Wanted to get the word out. My buddy had his welding rig stolen in Albuquerque nm last night. 90's model chevy. Sa200 has custom faceplate on  it. Says Almazar on it. Keep an eye out for it bluetruck in the middle

Reply:Thanks for looking guys. I don't have a tag number. Had New Mexico plates. Was drove off. Motel got it on video. Chrysler 300 pulled up and blocked the camera and a guy broke the ignition and door lock and drove off in about 7 min.Car did not have plates on it.

Reply:This is why we need to have some kind of kill switch on our rigs.This is thousands of dollars some crack head, thief/liar gets for what, 7 minutes of work.I am thinking a regular kill switch isn't enough and that a 2 position aka 2 function switch would be far better. Position 1: if you don't flip the switch and try to start your vehicle it activates the horn (a hold in circuit to keep the horn sounding would be even more fun, idea is it keeps sounding the horn until the kill switch is cycled) Position 2: you flip the swich and your truck starts normally and disables the horn alarm thingy.Then you switch the safety to the "off" position on your gun and make some more noise.I bet they wont come back after an encounter like that. Reply:The kill switch reminds me a a kid i met who had a kill switch on his car installed by the previous owner .towed him in and spent half the day trying to figure why the car would not run ,asked him about toggle switch ,he didn't know it was there , threw the switch problem fixed . BUT HE DID IT TWO MORE TIMES !!!!
