Sa-200 ?

I have 2 sa-200 one is a 1978 with the f 163, the other is a 1948 with a f 162,the 78 needs shunt coils and the 48 I think has a bad armature.now my question is can I use the armature out of the 78 in the 48?the 1948 is a code 1228the 1978 is a code 8023

Reply:I just got the 48 short hood today was told it hadnt been ran in 2 years, I cleaned the points and carb put fresh gas in and it started up and runs fine very little smoke. I would really like to get it welding,it looks like the 78 will be the easyest to fix, I have it tore down and waiting for the funds to buy the shunt coils.I have another sa-200 located and have been told 2 stories about it one told me it had a bad Mag. another said it had a bad motor
