OK Guys,So I acquired a dipstick 160 machine and it seems to work okay but it needs some help. The output indicator is broken. The filament was torn in half and part of it was missing. I need to know how it hooks up. How long the filament is etc.... Anyone willing to post a picture or two or anyone have a fix for this? Any help would be appreciated. Also got a high frequency box with it so Im thinking of buy a tig gun and trying to teach myself. Again any input is good...
Reply:I'll go out and look at mine and post a couple pics if I can.Might not be today.........bad storms almost here.I'm looking for a high freq. box if I can find one.If you decide you don't need yours let me know.I've had this thing for years, bought it through the company I worked for.L got iy so I could re-plate the hull on my boat, but it was way too big, ended up with an LN-25 with a Pow-Con behind it.Had to part with my Dynasty 350 so I'm resurrecting the Airco.Logged on to ask a few questions about them.I've got a foot pedal for tig with it but all it does is on-off.I've seen a few good deals on an air cooled torch,a CK and a Weldcraft.was looking for input. Is there any way to down slope to avoid cratering with the 160?Send you pics when I can. Thanks, panhead |
