Hey guys Whats the best choice of grinder I've burn up two in the last month A Chicago Electric Industral HF, an some cheap grinder that I've had for about 10 years So its time to break down an buy a good one Any suggestion?

Reply:You didn't say what size, I am getting old so paddle grinders beat me up, I can use the for a while maybe 15 min then they start to fatigue my hand to much. So my favorite paddle is a Metabo W8-115, Fien makes a good one also but more money. I own one paddle its a W8-115 it always has a wire wheel on it. I also have two Dewalt 28115 trigger grip. Both the Dewalt and the Metabo are good grinders the Dewalts cost more than the W8 ( Amazon $112.00).In bigger grinders I have all Metabo's 2 ea 6 inch and a 7 inch.I dog all of these grinders and work them, none give me trouble. Dewalt makes good bigger grinders also, my only complaint is they are heavy, a 9 inch Dewalt is a hog, but heavy.Other than Metabo and Dewalts I also like some ( not all ) of the Makita's, the older ac/dc type are good grinders. Makita also has a new all metal grinder which looks good ( I haven't really used it much ).Brands that I don't like Milwaukee, Black and Decker, Hitachi and Bosch.If you want long lasting grinders Metabos are hard to beat, a note is consider on going up a size in grinders if your working them hard and doing a lot of material removal a 6 inch grinder doesn't work as hard, like I said I have two Metabo W14-150 grinders and they get used daily they are about $175.00 a pop.
