Today, we flipped the stainless head unit over to weld the nozzle weldments. I propped it up a little to make the weld a little flatter, when a question came up: At what point is it not a flat weld in the eyes of AWS? I want to say 10°, but it's been a long time since I've run across this situation. The photo is someone cutting it off of the positioner, before we flipped it(edit: helps to have a photo)Last edited by Brainfarth; 11-19-2015 at 08:01 AM.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
