Hello all, I found this on our local craigslist and don't know who makes it or what 5 types it does unless of course its couning ac hi and low dc en and ep http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/tls/4566802858.htmlPlease let me know, seems like a lot of welder for the money. I know it says century but not sure if thats who made it or not?Shaun
Reply:It's a decent welder for $150 - it's just your basic stick welder. But since it's 295/250 AC/DC it would normally be over $200 around here. Maybe even $300.Century was made by Lincoln if I remember correctly.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:also wondered if most would go for something like this or an lincoln idealarc 250 (old rounded type) for 3-450

Reply:IA250 is a great welder. Smoothest DC arc I've ever ran. Seemed nearly impossible to not make nice beads with 7018. Be forwarned, it's alot larger than it looks in pics. When I drove 2 hours to pick mine up in a medium sized SUV, the widow I bought it from asked me how I was getting it home. My brain told me it would be a bit bigger than a tombstone ACDC. You can fit 3-4 tombstones in one. |
