Anybody had any problems with there fuel gauges in the rangers? At first it wasn't reading right and then quit working. It's under warranty but I'd rather not take it in because i don't have time I can part with it and it's always a pain to deal with the local lincoln dealer 3d welding. Any suggestions? I'm sure it's something simple but the machine being decently new, I figured I'd see if anyone else had the problem.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Reply:Does the dealer do warranty or does another shop? A lot of LWS's don't do any repair or warranty work. If you mess with it and it still doesn't work could void the warranty. I'd look for a loose wire or stuck sending unit but beyond that take it in for warranty.
Reply:You could always try to find another Lincoln dealer to get the warranty work done for you, if you don't want to have to deal with the shop you bought it from. Nothing says you have to take it back to the original seller for warranty work. Any GOOD Lincoln dealer with a service dept. will be glad to make the needed repairs. Like Dave mentioned, if you do anything to it yourself first, they will claim a voided warranty and you will be SOL on any future warranty repair work.

Reply:My gauge isn't working right either. When it goes below 3/4 tank it drops off and doesn't work at all. Could it be something simple?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Reply:One thing I should mention on these new rangers with the vent from the carb going back to the fuel tank, don't overfill them. It will cause carb flooding as mentioned in the manual but what it doesn't mention is that the carb flooding cause the cylinders to get washed down and then they go through oil essentially needing a rebuild. It isn't covered by warranty.
