I bought a bunch of stuff from a going out of business auction a few months back..some of the things came in 2's and 3's,so i am selling a few things to hopefully recoup some of the money spent.I have a brand NEW never used still in the box with the manual WeldCraft 25 foot rubber hose Flex Head TIG torchModel Number is WP-17V-25-R for references to what it is and the prices they go for brand new...80.00 takes it,i will ship in the box and will find the cheapest way to ship of your preference..you pay shipping.I also have a Brand NEW Ingersol Rand 1/2" drive Imact model number 2705P1..this thing is STRONG..i bought these in a pair deal and use mine quite often,i even litteraly snapped a 1" bolt off with it that was on an old early bronco 2 link arm in reference as to how strong they are...80.00 plus shipping for this too. This does not have the original box, they were just still in the plastic bag when i got them(oily bag inside)..this thing has never been hooked up to air or even a fitting put on it to use it yet.Send me a message if interested and we will swap phone numbers to talk. I am In the Millen,,Georgia area,in between Augusta and Savannah Ga for refernce
Reply:Well hi neighbor.  I'm in the savannah/pooler area.  If you are ever in town let us know!
Reply:I'm in Savannah at times,my Union Hall is there,i'm an International Ironworker and work jobs at times in Savannah but mostly do nukes anymore..Plant Vogtle and Plant Hatch in Ga among many other nukes all over the USA.I'll send you a message next time i am down that way
Reply:Some pictures of them Attached Images
Reply:i`m interested in the tig torchis the gas hook up seperate from the welding hook upor is the gas inside the weld cablethanksPat
Reply:The hose has a threaded end on it that hooks up to your gas flow regulator, this is also where the hot lead hooks into it..on mine i have a an adapter block the hose end screws into and the a hose from there to the gas regulator..the block has a hole to bolt into my my Miller Maxstar 200DX..or you can just simply clamp your stick welding stinger to it and use it that way..In other words the threaded end on the hose is where the current goes through the hose..go here and look through some of the diagrams and you'll see what i mean.http://www.weldcraft.com/education/w...ction-systems/I also added a picture of the end of the hose where it is threaded, that is where the weld current needs to go to the torch head..kinda hard to explain..lolIf you need more info..i'll take a picture of my setup tomorrow morning for you to better understand what i am trying to explain. Reply:this will show you the adapter setup i am currently using on mine until i get more hose and adaptors to go straight through my Miller Maxstar 200 DXI currently just have my stick stinger clamped to that adaptor blockhttp://www.weldcraft.com/pdfs/PwrCbl...ionDgrmAIR.PDF
Reply:BTW, that's not a flex head.  Flex head PN would be WP-17FV-25-R and look like this. . .Still a good deal.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:If I may point out, according to the box, this is not a flex head torch. There would be an "F" in the part  #. (F for flex, V for valve, R for rubber hose...) Of course that may not be the correct box for that torch. Just an FYI.JasonPS of course Mr B55 beat me to it. Funny how that works...XMT 350 MPA Dynasty 280DXSuitcase 8RC / OptimaSpoolmatic 30AThermco Ar / C02 mixerAssorted O/A gear
Reply:Couple of pics to show it IS a flexhead Attached Images
Reply:I could bend all three of my WP-17s that way too but the solid copper gas tube inside would break before long.Flex head is on the right:http://www.weldcraft.com/products/wp-series/wp-17/MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:FYI, this is what happens when you bend a non-flex head TIG torch like that.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=50750MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:If you dissect a dead one, the copper tube in a rigid torch is straight, while the flex-head torches contain a copper spiral through the center of which the gas passes. The flex heads bend with little force.I've ordered many TIG torches including those Weldcrafts over the years (we get the same durability out of Radnors so we stopped buying them), and that ain't an FV.
Reply:A freshly dead and skinned 17FV torch (threads peeled out of the head as they often do) for reference. Note the proportions. The "coil" is normally wrapped in Teflon tape then the rubber body is molded around it.Non-flex torch heads have a simple copper tube similar to that between the valve and the power cable fitting. Reply:What you've got there is NOT a flex head torch. What you've got there IS a "broken or soon to be broken" head torch.JFYI:  I've never seen a "flex head" torch that was designed for that much bend.  You might get away with it once or twice, but not for long.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
Reply:wow..lol..i aint been here for a long time while on jobs on the road and workin long hours..you are all correct,it was put in the wrong box when i bought the boxes of equipment at the auction,i sold it a long while back to a local pipefitter,he informed me it was the new redhead series..it was a WP-R17FV flexhead..All i knew was the thing flexed with ease, nothing like a ridgid tube.I actualy sold it for a fraction of what i should of,but i still made more money back on selling the things than i paid for it all and still kept what i wanted,so i still made out.I just stopped in to see if i can find some info on any easy way to get the control knobs off my Lincoln Ranger 8 without breaking them,i am re-painting it and replacing the control panel with newLast edited by FabCrazyGuy; 05-06-2011 at 11:44 AM.
