And found this on Ebay...not sure how I'm going to fit it into the garage just yet. At $202.00 I think it was too good to pass up...BTW, it's got a 1hp 110/220 1ph motor...opinions? Attached ImagesMillematic 210Hypertherm 380Everlast 200DXHF 110v Inverter
Reply:Nice find!! I think you'll like it better on 220v. There's an amazing difference in torque between the two voltages. MikeOl' Stonebreaker "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw
Reply:Much as I hate abrasive saws I would have jumped on it, good score.x2 on the 220v if you can do it.
Reply:Thanks for the input! I do have 220 available, I'll give that a try...1hp does seem a little lite for this. I expect this will probably be the last saw I need to buy in my lifetime!Millematic 210Hypertherm 380Everlast 200DXHF 110v Inverter
Reply:Figure out how to gear it down and use dry-cut blades on it.
Reply:+1 on the dry cut blades. Switched from abrasive cutoff saw to the dry cut and haven't looked back.
Reply:Changing the pulleys down to an rpm lower than 1700 could be done I never thought of that ..since most of today's abrasive saws are direct drivethe question has never come up ..to me at leastBut since i bought my rage 3 i have not looked back eitherthe old abrasive saw sits in a corner collecting dustBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me What would SATAN do ?? Reply:That looks like a fantastically beefy saw... I have nothing against using abrasive cut off saws, outside...
Reply:ttyR2: Since it's a belt driven blade I imagine the pulleys could be changed and the speed reduced...what kind of dry cut blade could I use? I've only used abrasive blades...kustomizingkid: Agreed! Note the casters on the stand...outside it will go!Millematic 210Hypertherm 380Everlast 200DXHF 110v Inverter
