I was reading somewhere about that you need to grease something about once a year? Sorry about the questions but I have only had this machine for 5 days, still changing belt, hose, oil, water, and getting it ready for paint.1990 SA 200Miller 225 Rip Miller302Miller 135Lincoln 200 MigHypertherm 600 PlasmaPlasma Cam Cutting TableMikita Cold SawJL Welding Tx . com
Reply:Probably a reference to the early (pre '48) short hoods that were equipped with the 'lord' style bearing would be my guess. Reply:The '47 SAE300 I have also has that grease fitting. I'm pretty sure the 400's and 600's made back then have 'em too.RD 1984 Chevrolet C30 welding truck1966 Lincoln SA200 Continental F162 1942 Lincoln SA200 Hercules IXB-51991 Lincoln LN25
Reply:I don't know if/when the sealed bearing came on, but the newer machines still have a grease cavity, and are drilled and tapped for a grease fitting. Good Luck |
