SAE 300 open circuit voltage

Does anyone know what the max OCV should be on the Sae 300 ?  I have a 1978 model. Thanks for any help.

Reply:The faceplate says 300 amps, 40 volts, at 60%.  At high idle, voltage control at max, voltmeter read 105volts.  Wondering if this was even in the ballpark.
