Guys as some of you know I am rebuilding my '67 redface Sa 200, and I have it down to where I need to pull the generator off the engine. Anyone here can tell me how to go about this? I have the owners manual for the machine, but the parts breakdown isn;t giving me much on how to get them loose. It looks to me that there is a flex plate that bolts to the flywheel, but how do ya get to the bolts? Any help is greatly appreciated.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......

Reply:Well, I just got thru talking to the guy who does my welder repair. He took a look at it today, and we both agreed there was no reason to completely remove the entire unit. If we pull the exciter and housing he has plenty of room to replace the bad wires. Since there is some play in the bearing we are gonna replace it while we are in there. That should put the generator in good shape.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
