I've come across a few pictures online lately, where its is almost impossible to distinguish where a start/stop was made.  Marcella Manifolds is one that comes to mind, along with a few others.  I'm wondering how they are able to color match this.  Every time I have a start/stop, the etching carries over to the previous bead and in my opinion ruins the look of a good bead.  I've played with the balance and even the frequency, but its still there.  What am I missing?
Reply:Please list the welder, and what you have set all the individual parameters to.  Can't see anything from over here through the monitor, ya know.   1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:If your good there are no starts and stops. You put filler where you can reach it and when you are done with one piece you can grab the next one without stopping. It's easy!Try it....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Or if you don't have the dexterity yet you can use a mig gun or spool gun to feed the wire also.
Reply:I just start the weld where I stopped and heat where you were to the point of a puddle all over again and with a small dip just start motoring along like nothing happened.....Do your flip/reposition as fast as possible....Know where your going before hand.......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Originally Posted by shovelonThat is pretty much it.What I do is restart a little ahead and back in to bead and continue.

Reply:I'll have to give that a try also.I do tend to flip/rotate as quickly as I can.  Once I get in a rhythm, I like to keep it up.  Plus it gives less time for the part to heat up ahead of meLast edited by JRwldr; 07-24-2014 at 10:31 AM.
