I found a 89 shield arc SA-250 on craigslist and it seems pretty cheap, but i have not heard much about these machines?
Reply:I can't speak for the one your looking at, especially if the price is TOO good, but these are widely used and built by Lincoln...they lay a better bead than many welders. Reply:Hello 2-wacko,The 250s were discussed a little here:http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?p=272887I noticed that one popped up on Craigslist today for $1500.I was going to post the link, but if it's the one you're dealing on I'll wait.Good Luck
Reply:I've got one and I love it. Mine is a 1980 model and it runs with the best of them. No problem running 5/32 sticks with it or running tig rig off of it. The perkins is a great diesel and easy to work on.
