Hey Guys, I am new to the forum. I recently bought a lincoln ranger 8+ diesel powered welder. The thing runs and works awsome but I really need to set it up for MIG and TIG as well. I need part # K892-1 Remote Receptacle Kit. I have spoken to Lincoln several times and they have been no help, the part is discontinued. I have tried every other welding supplier I can find on the web. My last hope is Stumph whom I havent heard back from . Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
Reply:The boys at Stumph are very busy, but stick with them. They travel allot. Who there are you working with
Reply:I actually havent heard from Stumph yet so I dont have a point of contact yet. I also havent had any more luck in my searches elsewhere. Looking at adapting a different kit to work with my welder. Anyone done something like this?
Reply:Thanks for the tip I will call and talk to Kaye as soon as I can. AC aluminum is essential for the type of work I do. I work around the water so every other thing that has to be welded is stainless or aluminum and I am tired of having to remove stuff and cart it back to the shop. Already have the HF converter on my shop welder though I way get a new one rather than switching that one. If I can get the remote I will start browsing my options for the set-up.
Reply:For your tig, just get a seperate inverter tig welder and run it off the generator. Simpler, easier and much better tig welder too.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op |
