A few of my stainless pipe welds.  I'm not the best but I do what I can 8" sch 10 cap3" sch 40 cap4" sch 10 capOne of my best roots.  Sch 10 to Sch 40 with no counterbore, no grinding, no flapper wheel4" sch 10 root, should have feathered those tacks a little more

Reply:Thanks guys.  I try really hard to push myself for a better weld every time.  And I am more than happy to help give any pointers out for anyone in need.  Lord knows I've had some truly bad @ss welders help me get where I am today.  Guys that are better than me! I can weld carbon pretty nice too but I love stainless! Welds like butter! And trust me they don't always turn out that pretty lol.  I wish they all did but it doesn't always happen like that.BTW, my first pipe welding job was January 2010

Reply:Blythewood? Heck I was in Blythewood at the Intertape Polymer Plant this weekend running some stainless.  In fact that 2nd weld pictured is in that plant now lol.  I'm from Sumter btw

Reply:Dude its been blistering hot this year!  Somehow I've managed to be in pressure vessels repairing cracks when it was 100+ out lol.  Thank God for squincher freeze pops

Reply:Thanks guys I really do try and make them look as good as possible.  BUT they don't always turn out that nice lol.  Stainless really is such an awesome alloy to weld.  Carbon welds so much trashier in comparison! Especially that cheap junk pipe that most jobs get now days.  If you ever see Pipe made in India be prepared, it blows! I'd be happy to help anyone brush up on stainless if they want. There are a few tricks I picked up along the way myself.  I'd love to get a video while I'm welding so you can actually see what I see when I make a weld.  I'll see what I can do!
