So I acquired a s-22a Miller wire feeder today. I have been wanting a suitcase feeder for some time but the cost has been out of reach. A local guy had this one and I bought it to have a feeder on the truck till I can afford a suitcase. What do you guys think about it? I'm planing to use it off my trailblazer 302. I've run few beads with it and it welds nice it's got the spot timers installed also.trailblazer 302 spoolmatic 25a with wc-24thermal arc 161s tig rigmillermatic 200dialarc 250 hf tig rig with spool gun and boxand wanting more......

Reply:That'll work just dandy right there. Cool!A guy locally has an S22 P12 with meters and remote voltage for $400.I think he's out of Jackson MI. I bet he would ship it too.http://annarbor.craigslist.org/tls/5300388088.htmlHe's always selling welding stuff. I would venture to say he's likely legit and wouldn't screw you. Don't know him, but he's had machinery for sale for awhile, and all of it looks pretty good. He wanted $600 for the longest time, guess he finally is getting itchy to sell it. I think that's a pretty good deal for one with meters too.IMHO of courseLast edited by 7A749; 12-14-2015 at 10:58 PM.Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948
Reply:Nothing wrong with that set up. Make a cart for your feeder that you can take with you and you're good to go. I think it's a better and more reliable feeder than a suitcase feeder just not as portable if you have to get to a remote location. I think you can still get a wire cover for them. |
