I was looking through the Lincoln catalog and saw the Loncoln's new product the Outback 145 DC. It states that the michine can use weld 3/32 and 1/8 rods and some 5/32. Is this a good dail for this welder, "Yes, I read the specificaton",of course i'm on bugget. I can't afford the other larger welders. Its rated at 50-145A DC. Any suggestions from anyone. Reply:sgt102 What are you planning on using the welder for?30 % duty cycle at 125 amps is kinda low for the money output. Are you mainly a hobby welder? You could pick up a good used ranger for about the same money. Just some thoughtsFelonCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious, pass the ganja and pick up a 24 of MGD"
Reply:I agree. They are neat looking machines, but spec wise, a bit limted. I agree on possibly finding a little bigger used machine at a good price would be a good option. You can always turn down the amps but not up if you aint got em. And you can always shorten weld time but not lenthen it if machine cant do it.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A |
