Reply:A few months ago I went through all the 80+ pages of this guys Backhoe post.  I think he must have dumped a lot of cash and time into it.I got a 4 pt backhoe Davis 100A I'm trying to attach to a L285 Kubota that is taking quite some time just on the subframe.  I just finished fixing the hydraulics a few weeks ago and working on the subframe now.I will have about $3000 into both the tractor and backhoe when done, but I got great deals on both the tractor and backhoe- the guy who had the backhoe did not want to build a subframe and frankly it's the first truly structural thing I've built.My only concern is that he has no subframe and even my 1600lb backhoe will weigh on the order of 5000lbs due to cantilever and bouncing during moving.I think I'm over designing my subframe and I think he needs one, because that is a one massive beast of a backhoe.I think he has access to CNC plasma also.It is absolutely a magnificent backhoe!Tim
