I have a Hobart 210 MVP.Guy is selling the Hobart Spoolrunner gun with two spools of aluminum and extra tips for $80 cash. I don't have a cylinder of pure argon or aluminum to even weld but is that a price that I should just snag it at for the heck of it?
Reply:I would if I ran a Hobart it's worth it make sure the drive runs
Reply:That's a real good deal if it's working. I wish I could find one that cheap for my miller.
Reply:Take your machine to his place on 115 and test the wire feed.Switch the machine on the inside to spool gun.If it works, its a great buy.
Reply:Good deal if it works.
Reply:Picked it up. Works nicely as far as I can see.We didn't weld anything but it feeds smooth. Came with 2 spools of cheap wire, extra nozzle, extra set of rollers and a few new tips. Unfortunately he lost the case but said he will let me know if he comes across it.Next problem is I only have a C25 cylinder.
Reply:want to sell it?Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:Haha. Sure $81.
Reply:I was thinking $90....give you some room for profitMiller Multimatic 255
Reply:I got to his cylinders first. A 332 with 1000 psi of Argon and a 125 of C25 with 1500 psi in it. Dated 7 11+* both.Has more....
Reply:He wanted to sell me a cylinder with it but doesn't have pure argon. Can I have a c25 refilled with argon?

Reply:What's a used 122cu cylinder worth?
Reply:Too many variables. Does it have a smooth collar? Is current on hydro? Then the big variable is local market. If it were smooth and current on test I would say $150-$200 or maybe even more.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:Are you in Brooklyn ? I would check with your local suppliers first. Some will only switch like for like. It depends on how they feel I guess. A local ma/pa place buy me exchanged a old old acetylene 135 cylinder with the old key type valve, out of certification, for replacement for $ 60.00. I was really happy since I got the tank for free.

Reply:Clinton will refill anything. I bought one of my tanks from them, collar on neck with someone's name on it. They told me no worries. Great guys there. The seller has more tanks, as per him, they were purchased and tested at Clinton.Had a pure argon 122 for sale in initial listing. He was asking $100 for it. |
