If I buy before the end of the year, I can get the Millermatic 211, Tweco Fabricator 211i, or Hobart MVP 210 for around the same amount of money. At Cyberweld, the Millermatic 211 is currently $1095.00 and comes with a free helmet and $200 rebate. Also at Cyberweld, the Tweco Fabricator 211i is $941.00 with a $100 rebate. Blain's Farm and Fleet has the Hobart 210 MVP on sale through Dec. 20th at $794.99. These are all no tax/free shipping.Final cost after rebate:MM 211 - $895 w/free helmetTweco 211i - $841Hobart 210 - $794.99The Tweco is multi-process, which is nice but not essential. I already have a Miller Classic helmet, which is OK but has flimsy headgear. What would you do?
Reply:I would go with the tweco myself altho the other 2 are good machines. The multiprocess and the ability to load a 12" spool are good things to have. Check out www.weldersupply, they have the same deal for 930$ before rebate and helmet.
Reply:I'd go Tweco, just for the multi function benefits, then the Miller. I I'm picky about my helmet so getting that would not be any benefit for me. That said, the Miller is a tried and true model.Last edited by soutthpaw; 12-16-2015 at 10:00 AM.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:I don't care for a multi process welder. I like to have a welder for a sole process/purpose, but that's just me. I'd get the Miller 211.-just another opinion you'll get out of many. Reply:I prefer separate machines too. These manufactures need to do what they can to sell more of everything. If one machine is good a 3 in 1 must be better. I think it's a selling gimmick to sell more. Let say that if the straight mig is $1000.00 and the multi purpose is a $1000.00 , wouldn't you think that a dedicated mig has got to be better ? I DO ! Choose wisely .

Reply:With the inverter machines there isn't much extra needed to add stick and tig functions. Basically you get a stick lead and then the tig components are sold as an extra accessory . Most of the multiprocess machines offer more on mig than the dedicated mig machines. Inductance and 2T-4T trigger typically doesnt come with a stand alone mig.
Reply:My current plan is to order the Tweco 211i tomorrow. So now is your last chance to talk me out of it.
