Would this be a bad idea? Grinding down TIG beads...

If I'm putting something together, and I grind down the bead and into the metal, then lay in another bead so it'll be halfway into the metal. Then grind off the excess bead on top so it'd look like a smooth transition. Kind of like this, but on the welding table welds or welding cart welds. Diablo makes these flap discs that are edged so you can grind into corners
