TIG with a Power Mig 300

I picked up a Power mig 300 awhile back, haven't had a chance to use it yet due to work and I also have a baby due any day.  Well over the weekend I was telling my father-in-law that I wanted to learn how to tig, but I would need to buy a tig torch and a foot pedal.  He then says follow me, off to the garage we go and he pulls out a Weldcraft WP-17V tig torch and says here ya go.  He got it at a garage sale in a box of welding stuff.  So now I have the torch, but no idea how to hook it up. (or use it  )  Could someone post a few pictures of the under the hood setup?  I know where it bolts in just not sure how the gas is hooked up.  Is there anything else I need?  Any help would be good.Thanks,Kevin
Reply:I was down at GRCCs welding/automotive shop the other day, noticed they had a PM 300, but it had a python push, pull gun for Al on it, but next time i am there i could check it out and see if I could figure anything out. Also, have you checked lincolns website to try download a manual? Reply:Your,easiest way it to just get a torch with a gas valve built in. You can use a torch off of the internal gas connection if you like. It will take a trip to the welding/hardware store to get the female gas fitting and plumbing stuff. (tee and gas shutoff valves) Or just use the female fitting off the Mig block hose. It will take a two piece torch (power and gas line separate)If you do plumb it in, it will be limited to 10 seconds of post-flow. Best to hook up strait to the regulator and forget the plumb job. It's the same fitting as your gas line in.I read your post again and spotted the torch had the Valve on it. Probably is a two piece torch then. You also can wire in a button off of the mig amphenol and use your programming for upslope/downslope. It also has a pipe welding circuit built in. Push the torch tungsten close to the weld pool and the current drops. Reason I said wire to the mig gun contactor,  the contactor is the same as the 6 pin one. Reply:I have downloaded the manual, but it dosn't have a lot of information on hooking up the accesories.  The more I think about it I might throw the welder and uf the stuff I have collected for it in the truck and head down to the LWS and see if they can help me piece it all together.  I am also going to look into some of the local colleges to see if they have some night welding classes.  I had an autobody welding class and an Honer study course in welding when I was up a Ferris State, but that has been ten years now.  I have thought about going back to school full time to get a welding degree as I have alwas liked it and my grandfather was a welder back in the day.  In fact I have his welding helmet hanging in the garage.  Lincoln patend pending.  Thanks all.
