Has anyone tried a DIY mig conversion on any welder let alone on this lincoln? Lincoln wants way to much in my opinion for their mig conversion kit.heres what im thinkingharbor frieght regulator http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=94841Mcmaster carr solenoid valve http://www.mcmaster.com/#7877k5/=489i5cthe two total $58.48Even after buying some hose, a few plastic fittings, a new nozzle and a spool of wire it shouldnt come anywhere close to the $151 bucks lincoln wants for their kit.

Reply:I purchased the mig conversion kit for my weldpak 100 a few yrs back from Home Depot for about $98. I find $151 expensive also.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A
Reply:yea that was a few years ago lol. $151 is from lincolns web site. the cheapest i have found is on sale for $120 at a welding supply online store. still I think I can do it for half that. Im gona try anyhow lol
