Been thinking of getting a 220 Mig and moved from considering the smaller 'portable' boxes to something along the lines of the new Lincoln PM 216 with its higher duty cycle. So am wondering if anyone has tried one or owns one and their thoughts about it, ideally compared to the MM212 since they are in the same price range. Thanks.
Reply:I love my power mig 216. Very smooth, And accepts the cheaper and I mean cheaper onthe price spool gun. Which welds aluminum just fine. I was worried I would not like thevoltage taps. I first bought the Power Mig 140c which has the continuous voltage controland love it. But I have no problem with them. I do not at all regret buying the 216.P.S. If you want to weld aluminum Lincoln will be by far cheaper. The New 212 uses the more expensivespool gun.Last edited by shane777; 10-31-2009 at 09:30 AM.
Reply:I have ran the new PM216 and VERY impressed with its arc and the spoolgun runs extremely well for a inexspensive unit. Lincoln is about $300 or $400 cheaper on the 216 vs Millers 212 and Lincolns i think includes spool gun!!! But ran the new 216 and very good operating machinewelding instuctor |
