Hello all, I am from Australia and looking to buy a new welder, cigweld and lincoln seem to be the leading brands over here and after purchasing a cigweld for my first welder i thought id get a lincoln for the next. I went into my distributer today and they ran out of the Lincoln power mig 180C units which i orignally wanted as i had heard such good reviews, so they offfered me the 210C 3 in 1 inverter mig for the same price. A $1549 unit for $999 i couldnt complain but i usually like to do research on anything i purchase and as i cant find anything at all for the 210c i thought i would ask, which is the better welder for mig welding? does a 3 in 1 inverter type take anything away from its mig welding capabilities?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers little_sparky
Reply:Ignoring the other two functions for a moment,,, you went in for a 180C and they've offered a 210C for the same price. Seems like the step up at no additional cost is a no brainer. The only question then is -- do you want an inverter based machine?? Here's a thread for your reading, http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ighlight=PM210"The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first, the love of soft living and the get rich quick theory of life." -Theodore Roosevelt
Reply:what's a reason that i wouldnt want an inverter based machine? Whats the pros and cons? Thanks heaps for your reply though, greatly appreciated
