Reply:It IS possible to push a chain, you just have to wad it into a ball first to do it and it won't be laid out in a straight line while doing it. If it HAS to be in a straight line while pushing it, well that's another story.

Reply:When I worked on the land, I had a good tow chain I kept on my crawler. A guy borrowed it to tow a cement truck out with a backhoe loader, and when it came back they'd snatched and stretched it so much it was rigid. You could have pushed that chain.
