reccomended by others here, here's my experience. Spoke to a man early in the week about rings for a 163 piston, bring it in and we will work with you. I drove 45 min. from CT and Phil was not in. Another man looked at my piston, dropped it on the side against a metal ridge on the counter and asked me what plastic I have. I thought he was joking because it would be expensive. He was not joking , the first thing he wanted to know was what credit card I had, We don't take checks and I get a lot of dead beats with no money in here. I asked if I looked like a guy who should be holding a tin cup and promptly laid my credit cards and 400 cash in a money clip on the counter. He asked me if I had Mic'd the piston and I said no. He took it in back and returned tossing my piston on the same metal edge a second time and stated we have the rings , $119. I was all set to buy them and then it hit me how rude he was , why should I give him my business. I said forget it and what is your name sir. He replied get out of here. I complied without comment. I took some time , had lunch and returned home. I called the company and got Phil on the phone. I told him what had happened and asked who the man at the counter was, I said he must be the owner as no one else could treat a customer like that. He put me on hold and then I was disconnected. I called back and it was the original rude man who proceeded to state that I had called "a dozen times today" and hung up on me. That was my second call after being hung up on. I was not rude, or disrespectfull in any way, I only asked if they were in the habit of treating customers this way. They have a very friendly Web site but I guess it should read small need private engine repair and hobby guys don't bother us. Just food for thought and my experience with Foley. I only wanted to get the machine fired to check weld output. It will need a total rebuild and Foley would have been my choice for parts and block work until today.ITry to deal face to face and spend money local to keep business going, more and more I find I get better service through email and online companies from across the country. That is a shame. Oh yea, the man, and older man in business clothes is still nameless as no one would tell me who the owner was and who he was. All I wanted was to buy some parts at a local vendor. Those dead beats must have really worn him out. I intend to post this on every forum I subscribe too.    Can anyone reccomend a good source of Continental F163 engine parts??
