Towards the end of the shift, my boss came up to me and said he forgot that his boss had asked if I could weld up a stainless joint. I asked if it was purged already and he said that the other shift had started it. So we walked over and noticed that it was purged... The regulator was set at 80 CFM for around 10 hours! So I'm wondering how much that purge might have cost.. The company buys bulk liquid argon, so they probably get a great deal. But even at that, that's a whole heck of a lot of gas.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:CFH you mean? That would be 800 cf. That would put liquid cost at about $100 IMO.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
