new welding table modification?

I built myself a 4'x6' x 1/2" welding table last wk. I have a job for myself coming up where going to tack and weld about fifty pcs. of tubing to make an "L".Is there any reason I shouldn't cut the corner off my table and hang the tubing off the corner to weld them up? I know for a fact that the table is perfectly square. So I was going clamp the tubing to the edges then weld. Is there any reason I will regret not having a sharp corner on the table in the future?
Reply:Well... It's metal. Anything you cut off of the table can be welded back on. Just a thought

Reply:Thought I could clamp the tubing to the edges then weld the mitered joint at the rounded or cut corner and get to all 4 sides welding it in place then unclamp in one operation. Sorry should have said 2x2x1/8" rectangular tubing.Last edited by Crete; 11-08-2014 at 06:06 PM.
