I am thinking of purchasing a Lincoln 180 at Lowes and was wondering about the electrical hookup. I cannot tell from the pic if it comes with any kind of pigtal or 220 plug or will the wire and plug have to be purchased seperately?I will be welding auto body panels and will probally need about 30 feet of cable. What size of cable should I purchase to run the welder from 30' ?ThanksNew WelderRodney1963.5 Galaxie Fastback with a 4 sp.
Reply:There is a molded connector on the the end of the power cord. You'll have to get the mating recepticle. I use #10 AWG as an extension. I've had mine for a couple of years now and have been pretty pleased.
Reply:The unit comes with about 5-6' of electrical input cable with a 6-50P (plug) installed on it. Pick SO cord for your extension of a size of around 10/3. Dont use "ROMEX" as it is not designed for this use.
