6 axis laser cutting

Just got in a batch of .120 wall tubing cut on a laser for ease and accuracy of fitting. There are other critical angles in play on the opposite ends. Not just the notch. Gonna fold and weld come Tuesday. Can't wait for work to come again. Last edited by Jimmy_pop; 05-25-2012 at 10:05 PM.

Reply:Yeah. I can totally see your disappointment. It isn't intricate. But until I can get a real cold saw, I think this laser thing is gonna work cool.
Reply:Most of us would be saying that the other way around..."Until I can afford a 6-axis laser cutting machine, this cold saw will have to do."Or chinese abrasive chop saw, as the case may be.
Reply:i usually just drive to work, think of a cool and critical cutting design, look at my chop saw, kick myself in the nuts and then go home for the day.Seriously, Ive been wanting to try the laser cutting on tubing for a while. I gotta build a bunch of these parts and the though of cutting this on my saw made my vag hurt. My welding table shows every cutting flaw and i just didnt want that hassle.
