just wondering if anyone knows if my 225 can be turned into a liquid cooled unit. the long passes are taking forever and tired of waiting for the torch to cool down. i looked on lincolns web site but it wasnt very informative. thanks in advance.
Reply:i was just looking to buy one and i think they have a water cooler i have a catalog in front of me k1813-1 or k2187-1 let me know how if you like the machine i have a small mig machine but am going to get a tig let me know what u think
Reply:You should be able to get a seperate cooler that will work no problem. Usually you have to get an adapter that you install between the machine and the torch that hooks in the coolant lines, as well as the cooler and the water cooled torch. http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...x&cPath=16_246There's been any number of DIY coolers posted here. You could always build your own and just get the torch and adapter. Some guys will just use tap water and dump the return water in the drain as a cheap option also..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:You can add one. I have a 185 Precision Tig with an added cooler. You will need a water cooled torch and the correct connector plug for a water cooled to fit the welder. Mine came with a Lincoln Tig-Mate 20 water-cooled tig torch along with a Bernard cooler. I hope this helps. |
