Hello everyone, i recently purchased a used miller syncrowave 180 that was working but is now not turning on at all. A couple days after getting it it started randomly shutting off. I noticed once i got a scr code for over or under voltage. I do have power at plug.
Reply:Pull the cover and check for voltage at the machine. Wiggle the cord too, sounds like a loose connection.
Reply:Start with the easy and double check all power supply connections including at the distribution panel circuit breaker and inside the machine. Also check the control board harness plugs to make sure they are secure in their receptacles and check for corroded/dirty terminal pins/sockets.What is your supply power voltage as read with a VOM?A poor connection at a board harness plug could cause a momentary loss of SCR power signal that could throw a HLP --1 code.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:My other welder works on the same 220 outlet so i don't think it has anything to do with the panel or outlet. Ian going to check on Friday if the cord itself may have a loose connection on the plug and maybe is only putting out 110.
Reply:Okay I checked the welder and I am getting 220 at and past the switch inside the machine. Still no display turning on or anything. Anyone have more suggestions?Miller Dynasty Dx 200Miller bobcat 250Esab Miniarc 161 |
