I am 18 and I am in high school 12th grade and i had this guy from Lincoln Tech come to my class and talk to us about how great Lincoln Tech is and how it can help you make money & how 88% i think he said Lincoln Tech students get placed in a job and all this good stuff about how blue collar jobs are good because cars will always be around and what not so there is always a demand for work in this field. Now for my question, is this really as good as he made it sound?like i want to do sound systems, and radios and gps devices and EVERYTHING Electronic in a car, i have a huge passion working with computers. So can i get like a personal review of personal experience with anyone who has been to LT and knows how it works.I also herd they pay you for attending training and when you graduate you start out on average like 20,000 18 or 19,000 a year and you get your bachelors (i believe) in like 1 years or something like thatbut what are your thoughts should i go? Is it good. Is it worth it?will any place of business recognize me for attending LT?I have read so many bad reviews online is it really a bad school? thanks-------------------------------------------------------------Mig WeldingLast edited by zebediah; 03-13-2010 at 08:55 AM.
Reply:Don't know about Lincoln Tech, but $20,000 per year is poverty level.  That's not to say you shouldn't do it if that's what you're interested in.  You might make a lot more money with some experience.A Bachelor degree is a 4-year degree (typically) and (to my knowledge) not granted by technical / vocational schools.  It is probably an Associate degree.America Needs AMERICA'S Oil!!!"Global warming is the greatest scam in history ...There is no run away climate change. Reply:Let’s say that you work 50 weeks at 40 hours, that’s 2000 hours. $20,000 per year at 2,000 hours is $10.00 per hour gross. Now deduct federal and state income tax, ss and Medicare, and you’re down to $6-7 an hour take home.
