I have a 1972 SA 200 with a wide fan belt.  Does anyone know a part number for the wide fan belt ?  I read the sticky on the 200's but didn't find it.  Second question, what are Fowler internals ? I've been to the Folwer site but still don't know what they do and why they are so great.  Thanks for the help.

Reply:Try looking in the belt section of the Grangers catalog for a match.

Reply:Rhyno, wow. If Fowler internals can make a 200 weld even better I might have to look into them more.  Iam with ya on the overseas $hit.  I can't believe this country lost its manufacturing mite, quality etc to those overseas markets.  Ive caught myself a few times in the last year picking tools up at antique stores.  Ashame what progressive politics have done to this country.
Reply:Look at the bottom pic.  The coils that got replaced are at 4:30 and 10:30.  I also replaced the brushes with a softer version. http://weldingweb.com/showpost.php?p=371058&postcount=7If your machine is welding good, you could just replace the brushes.  He has a softer version, when compared to the Lincoln brushes. So far, I am impressed.  I haven't put it through a heavy heat cycle, yet.-Rhyno07 Fowler 200D65 RedFace04 Miller TB 302, 22hpMiller 12RCMiller HF 251-1Lincoln SP135HyperTherm PM 380and a few others... Reply:# TR24465 is a Gates number, Green Stripe is Gates more quality line of belt, so that number is for a Gates Green Stripe belt.    Seems the Green Stripe belts are real good about not weathering or cracking from the heat.   I think I pay about Thirty bucks apiece.   The belt fits nicely w/ the original generator.    I use the same belt on one w/ a GM 7127 alt. also, but I've got the alt. adjusted all the way in against the block.   Part of my problem w/ my alt. set up is that the widest pulley I could find to fit the alt. at the time was one size to narrow for that belt, so it rides a little high on the pulley.
Reply:I haven't been on here enough lately to know if Fowler / Hybriweld is on here.  They have been on AWS forum SA200 section explaining what their Arc Force system does they invented it and make the parts for it.  He said their new site would be working by the end of this month but still under construction right now as I post this.  You can their internals with one switch or both switches with the 7 position to get more settings in between the others.http://www.hybriweld.com/

Reply:I was posting that for Lincweld's question.
Reply:That Folwer setup sounds sweet!   I wish I could demo one.
