Got a new dynasty 200 with contractors kit at my local weld supply. Messed with it for about 2 hrs. I watched the intro video with it and have a question. First of all DIG for stick welding from what the video said it helps to keep the rod from sticking? Reply:the dig function lets you fine tune how much penetration you get at the same amperage. It makes the arc have more or less force. helps when doing stuff like v groove pipe welds and full pen stuff. The more dig you add the stiffer the arc becomes and less likley to snuff out if you crowd the puddle or need a little help with your starts. Stick welding with the dynastys takes a little getting used to.
