This welder has 4 power settings: A,B,C,and D.  Wire feed is fine on B,C,and D but won't feed at all on A regardless of the speed setting.  Motor sound like it's spinning but spool doesn't turn.  I've tried adjusting the roller tension and just replaced the gun, cable, and liner with a new Magnum assembly.  Don't know what else to try.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance - Bill
Reply:What is the serial number and code number? What size and type of wire are you using? Is the drive roll turning and the wire spool not turning? Drive rolls for these welders come with two grooves.By reversing the drive roll you can use different size wires. The standard drive roll is for 0.025 mig wire and 0.030-0.035 flux core wires. small groove is smooth and the large groove has teeth. If you use the 0.025 groove with 0.035 flux core wire. The wire will slip.
