and also say what flavor they are....as well as voltage and wire speeds and diameter.....im having the worst time ever......21b and 212thanks.....
Reply:I had the same struggle. I hate 212, its useless to me. Engineers dont have anything good to say either, between charpy v-notch and H levels. It will not run hot, dont try and push the upper limits of its capabilities. I think 19V is as long an arc it would hold, @ about 130IPM. I believe this gave me about 120 amps W/,045 wire on a Vantage 400 with 12vs. I was shooting for 200amps, never got it. Switched to .72 NR233, lowhy, self peeling slag, excellent charpy, better out of position performance(thicker slag), but very noxious fumes. Are you welding galvanized?Constant Current Weldor.
Reply:no galvanzied.........just mild steel........the 212 is a sample spool from the supplier........im doing strucural fabrication and repairs in the field.....around 3/16 to 3/8 thicknesses........i used to have a miller trailblazer 301g and suitcase s-32-p and run lincoln nr-211 mp and it went nice......this new demo trailblazer and used, like new 8RC havent successfully fluxcore welded yet.....i went with 21b because i wanted to try something different.......my next option is excel arc 71....i have a 15lb spool of .045 and I will just drag the c25 wit me.....im just tryin to get all dialed in before I showup at a job and cant do crap....I only do this on the side......but have done ALOT of stuff...

Reply:I have 3 rolls of 21b I just tossed in the scrap bin, some .045 and 1/16. I hate that stuff it does not run for me. trailblazer with an LN 25 I tried every voltage on the sheet. i had a thread about it on here a couple of years ago. To get it to run nice its so cold and slow I can weld faster with 1/8 6010. I am using the wire feed for speed not to enjoy the process . coreshield 8 was easier to run and looked nicer imhoDo not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Reply:the 21b is a new roll......the 212 is new and the 211 is older but i dont think it is wire.......3 different flavors and it all goes to crap |
