Reply:They are all square within 1/8"....I'm gonna be using them for a project coming up.Have a good night everyone.~John
Reply:Amazing how fast and easy they cut.First thing I built for my esab when I had it was "training wheels".12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829
Reply:Which shape electrodes are you using. See my thread about them here http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=448171 If you have both styles I would like to know if you notice any difference. Also drilling out worn tips to about .070 make good gouging nozzles. I've used .063 to .076 drills to make gouging nozzles successfully.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma. Reply:That turned out pretty good. What you might try is an aluminum drywall square, or aluminum drywall straightedge, for longer straight cuts. For the shorter cuts, the steel square is best. Channel is rough, and causes the torch to move in a jerky motion because of the friction. Also, you really want the bottom finger of the standoff guide to do the actual guiding of the cut, not the upper side of the standoff guide. Using the upper side can allow the bottom fingers to rock on the steel, and hence the few bloopers I see on your cuts.I find that wearing hearing protection greatly enhances my ability to make good cuts. Instead of being annoyed by the noise of the airflow, I'm able to concentrate on a smooth torch drag. Torch speed is everything when it comes to plasma. This is 3/8 material. Thicker material generally requires slower drag speed, and very steady drag speed. You'll notice the virtual absence of slag, that's due to very precise drag speed and torch angle. When done right, a plasma cut should look nearly as good as a shear cut."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:I only use two tip sizes for most anything I do, from thick to thin. A 40amp tip, and a 55-60amp tip. (I use a TD Cutmaster 52)Using the two sizes simplifies things. You really want to run near max amps with a plasma. The cuts are better.Varying torch speed compensates for the amp settings/tip size on virtually all thickness materials. This is an area that I feel most plasma users would benefit from extensive experience using an O/A torch. O/A will cut a variety of thicknesses using one size tip, it's just a matter of changing cut speed. This carries over to using a plasma effectively. A plasma, after all, is just a glorified Acetylene torch."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:A table makes nice strait cuts. Here is a quick video I made of cutting that 3/4" plate. Gives an idea of the speed travel at 65amps.12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829

Reply:I forgot I had to crop the corners to make room for the filet that will be under these gussets. Now I have to bevel all the cuts both sides.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it.
