Reply:Yeah well read the Eastwood warranty terms carefully. Note that as cheap as these seem, they are could have problems and you are responsible for shipping to and from regardless of whether the problem is covered by warranty. That is a deal breaker in my world. Then one good thing about Everlast is you can bitch high and low here and they will hear you. Just be courteous and professional and start in this section of the forums. Then when everyone sees your distress, they will offer recommendations before your thread is moved to their section and has editing power.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:A nice use Miller Syncrowave 180 or 200 is the perfect learning tig for AC/DC and probably about what you'd spend on those import units..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:IF you want to buy a '' REAL '' welder, Lincoln , Hobart , and MILLER. Red, white, or blue.
Reply:Eastwood, Everlast and a number of other companies are sellers of welders. They might have some input into design, but more likely just specifications.  Not like companies that design, produce and sell welders directly, or through distributors as a primary source of revenue.  Miller, Lincoln, ESAB, Hobart and the like are true welder manufacturers."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
Reply:Red, White, and blue welders seem overpriced. When you factor the leg work you have to do to get a Chinese welder to work at all, then soon after, it fails, Ultimately they aren't as cheap as you might have thought. Miller, on the other hand will keep you a happy owner. Their warranty process is amazing! I've had them send me parts without argument, or even proof that the old one failed! Even a 35 year old machine gets attention from their service and support.I won't say Lincoln, Hobart, or even ESAB don't take good care of you, I just don't own them. The way I see it they are similar in cost, why not pay up front, and have the best machine in the world. A miller sells used for a little less than new.
